Master Abstract

The world is now witnessing a revolution based on information and knowledge, namely, the technological revolution and its widespread spread, where technology and terrorism have been combined, and the emergence of cyber-terrorism, which in turn affected the concepts of security and power and added the electronic dimension to it, as power is no longer limited to Solid power, which is represented in the military and economic power monopolized by countries in general, and in particular the major countries, and even led to the emergence of electronic power; And this type is no longer confined to states only, but everyone who has the ability to possess technological knowledge and the ability to use and employ it to achieve its goals, whether it is a state, individuals, or non-state actors, and then the end of the era of monopoly of power, and on the other hand the emergence of cyberspace, which shortened The barrier of time and space and the creation of spaces for internal and international interactions in virtual reality, and then new spaces for conflict emerged with different tools and new patterns that differ from traditional conflicts. The technological revolution also contributed to changing the concept of national security after it was focused on military force and its ability to protect the state, which resulted in the emergence New threats are increasing in size and intensity, and pose a serious threat to national security. The greater the entanglement, the greater the electronic threats, and its impact on national security, which precipitated the emergence of a new concept, which is electronic security, with its various dimensions, through which countries try to reduce risks and threats in cyberspace, as electronic terrorism has become among the new security challenges facing countries, And in the United States in particular, which prompted it to adopt comprehensive mechanisms and strategies as well as to employ its electronic power in order to achieve and protect its interests, in pursuit of its national security, and the restoration of its hegemony over the international community.
