Symposium on “Threats to Egyptian National Security and the Future of the Arab-Israeli Conflict.”

Under the patronage of His Excellency Professor Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Naglaa Bakr, Dean of the Faculty of Politics and Economics, Professor Dr. Musaad Al-Ghayesh, Vice Dean of the College for Environmental Affairs and Community Service, and Professor Dr. Abdel-Rahman Abdel-Al. Director of the Center: The Center for Strategic and Economic Studies at the Faculty of Politics and Economics, Beni Suef University, held a symposium on “Threats to Egyptian National Security and the Future of the Arab-Israeli Conflict.” Major General Dr. Hisham Al-Halabi, advisor to the Nasser Higher Military Academy, lectured at the symposium, in the presence of the college’s deputies, department heads, and students. The symposium was chaired by Professor Dr. Naglaa Bakr, Dean of the College and Chairman of the Center’s Board of Directors, and moderated by Dr. Abdel-Rahman Abdel-Al, director of the center In his presentation of the topics of the symposium, His Excellency Major General Dr. Hisham Al-Halabi pointed out the necessity of differentiating between the concepts of risks, challenges, threats and dangers due to the different strategies for each of them on the part of countries. Then His Excellency touched upon the analysis of the expansionist regional projects in the Arab region, which are the Israeli, Iranian and Turkish projects, and the threat they represent to the security and regional role of Egypt. In this regard, His Excellency stressed the professional management on the part of the political leadership and the state’s security and political institutions in confronting these threats and the optimal use of Egyptian pressure cards, whether in confronting the war in Gaza or in the deteriorating situation in both Libya and Sudan or in confronting the issue of the Renaissance Dam. He added that the people's awareness of these threats and their support for the political leadership and state institutions was an important factor in the success of its strategy in dealing with them.
